A little painting I've been working on inbetween client projects. I have been lucky enough to be incredibly busy with freelance work these past few months, hence the lack of updates. Hopefully I will be able to share some of it soon! My own book project has been put on hold for now until I get a little down-time :)

My New Etsy Store

I opened up an Etsy Store to sell some prints of my work and the occasional original artwork!

Everything comes hand signed, straight from my home studio. It's great being able to offer a much more personalised service than DeviantART. Feel free to let me know if there's something not in the store that you'd like to own, I have high-resolution files of almost everything I've posted online.

Sneak Peek!

I've been dying to illustrate a children's picture book for so long, I made it my number one resolution for 2013. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a late February-March launch on the Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD and iPad. It's been SO much fun to work on so far and I can't wait to show you more!

If you're familiar with my work, the story is based on my student film 'Kahani' but presented in a much fresher, more illustrative style and features an alternate ending. I'll be sure to post wee updates every so often, stay tuned!

I was scrolling through my Google reader and spotted Austin Madison's most recent Chades (character design) Challenge in his blog and I just couldn't resist giving it a try. I hit google images to gather some ideas/references, which lead me to the discovery of Angora rabbits and holy cow have you SEEN THESE THINGS!?!!

New Year, New Adventures!

So, last month I made the big decision to go full-time freelance in 2013. I'm looking forward to seeking out some new opportunities as well as having more time to work on my own projects! Here's a little painting to shake off the holiday rust.

It is now mid-November and here in Edinburgh, I have genuinely lost count of the number of (often larger) lassies I have passed on the street wearing this uniform of short-shorts and ultra thin tights. Ya'll must be FREEZING.
